Pope Francis Calls Out Racism in Treatment of Refugees

Pope Francis has labeled the division of refugees into two categories—Ukrainians and others—as a form of racism. He stated that Ukrainians receive better reception compared to refugees from other nations.

“Refugees are divided into first and second class based on the color of their skin, depending on whether they come from a developed country or not. We are racists, and this is bad,” said Francis in an interview with Italian public broadcaster RAI.
