Diego Maradona's Medical Staff to Face Accountability
The medical staff of 1986 World Cup champion Diego Maradona are being prepared to face accountability under the charges of "negligent homicide," reports France 24.
According to the broadcaster, prosecutors have made this request as they investigate the circumstances surrounding Maradona's death.
The document states that eight healthcare workers exhibited negligence by leaving Maradona to the "mercy of fate" and failing to provide him with necessary medical assistance.
It is reminded that Maradona passed away in November 2020.
