Finland Refuses to Operate on Young Hockey Player Due to Russian Citizenship
A young Russian hockey player has been denied surgery in Finland. This was announced on April 13 at a press conference by Rinat Bashirov, the general director of Salavat Yulaev.
He noted that the surgery was planned for a young player from the Tolpar club. The clinic called to inform that services for Russian citizens had been halted.
Former Russian national team hockey player Maxim Sushinsky labeled the actions of the Finnish side as racism.
