Video: Threw Grenades, Then Doused Neighbor with Fuel and Set Him on Fire: Details of the Incident

On April 8, at approximately 19:00, the police department of Erevan received a report of an explosion in Maharu Street, with a person injured.

A response team dispatched from the Erevan police department established that around 18:30, there was a dispute between residents of building 127/1 on Maharu Street concerning domestic issues. During this altercation, a 38-year-old man ignited and threw grenade-like explosives towards his neighbor, then proceeded to douse the man’s head with fuel and set him on fire.

The injured man, suffering from varying degrees of burns to his head, neck, chest, and back, was transported by an emergency medical team to the Burn Medical Center.

A criminal case has been initiated in the territorial investigative body on charges of attempted murder. A forensic medical examination has been ordered. The 38-year-old suspect has been apprehended. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
