VIDEO: The People of Artsakh Should Stay in Artsakh and Have a Status - Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, evaluated his statements made on April 13 in the National Assembly regarding the progress and results of the Government's program implementation and provided some clarifications.
“With that speech, we opened a space for the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh, because in the entire negotiation process of the previous period, Armenia and Artsakh were deprived of political and diplomatic space. We are opening a path to preserve the statehood of Armenia and Artsakh,” Pashinyan emphasized during his concluding speech in the National Assembly.
According to the Prime Minister, some people dream that the people of Artsakh will leave right away. “No, the people of Artsakh should not leave Artsakh. The people of Artsakh should live in Artsakh, the people of Artsakh should have rights, freedoms, and status in Artsakh. The people of Artsakh should be Artsakhis, Armenians in Artsakh. This is what the discussion is about,” Pashinyan stressed.
The Prime Minister noted that soldiers died in the war for this purpose, to open a perspective for Artsakh and Armenia. “We have opened a path to bring our people out of the status of sacrificial lambs,” Pashinyan emphasized.
