VIDEO: Crimean Citizen Calls for the Assassination of State Duma Deputies

A man in Crimea has been arrested after he called for the assassination of State Duma deputies on social media. A criminal case has been initiated against him, according to the press service of the FSB of Crimea.

"It has been established that a 41-year-old man, adhering to radical views, posted materials calling for the assassination of State Duma deputies on his personal page on the VKontakte social network," the report states.

The special operation for the arrest took place in Bahchisarai. A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism carried out through media or electronic or informational communication networks, including the Internet). The maximum penalty under this article is 7 years of imprisonment.
