Aliyev Speaks on the Situation in Parukh

Parukh's height is under the control of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. This was announced by the country's president during discussions about the leadership's plans for the reconstruction of reservoirs in the region. Azerbaijani media reported this.

Referring to the Karaglukh height and the nearby Khachen reservoir, Aliyev stated that "the Khachen reservoir is located near the village of Parukh, and the combat positions of the Armenians threaten its operation. Today it is under our control," he emphasized.

It should be recalled that on March 24, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces captured the village of Parukh in Artsakh and several surrounding areas. Further progress was halted due to the intervention of peacekeepers. On March 26, Azerbaijani forces made another attempt to advance. On March 27, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from the village of Parukh; however, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense denied this information. Azerbaijani troops continue to remain in the same positions at the Karaglukh height adjacent to the village of Parukh, while the Artsakh Armed Forces continue to take additional measures to strengthen their defensive lines and deter the adversary.
