Important agreements reached with the Russian Federation: Pashinyan elaborates

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the issues concerning regional stability and security during his meetings in the Russian Federation.

During a government session, Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed gratitude to his Russian counterparts for the warm reception during his official visit to Russia. He deemed the visit successful.

“We reached important agreements on the principles of opening regional communications, which have been recorded as the alignment of the positions of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation. In this matter, we can note the consistency of positions among all our international partners. Against this backdrop, I want to reiterate Armenia’s readiness to commence the construction of a railway and highways connecting the East to the West through the territory of the Republic of Armenia as soon as possible,” said the Prime Minister.

The leader of the country hopes that the trilateral working group, co-chaired by the Deputy Prime Ministers of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Armenia, and the Republic of Azerbaijan, will soon be able to develop and agree on the necessary documents to launch the process.
