Russia to Resume Its Lunar Program: The Focus is on 'Luna-25'

Russia will restart its lunar program, specifically referring to the launch of the 'Luna-25' automated device. This was announced today by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a ceremony at the Vostochny cosmodrome for the awarding of state prizes to Russian cosmonauts.

According to TASS, he stated that Russia intends to continue working on the creation of next-generation transport spacecraft and nuclear space energy technology, where the country has a very good start and 'absolute clarity of advantage.'

‘We will restart the lunar program, focusing on the launch of the autonomous robotic 'Luna-25' spacecraft from the Vostochny cosmodrome,’ said the President.

The Russian leader emphasized that Russia will consistently and tenaciously implement all its plans in the space sector, despite external pressures.

It is worth mentioning that Russian and Belarusian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko met in Blagoveshchensk and proceeded to the 'Vostochny' cosmodrome in the Amur region. The visit to the facility is timed for Cosmonautics Day.
