Azerbaijan's Ally Does Not Recognize South Ossetia Elections
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has issued a statement reaffirming its support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity by not recognizing the elections held in South Ossetia on April 10. This was reported by Инфотека 24.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, an ally of Russia, emphasizes the importance of continuing negotiations for the peaceful resolution of the Tskhinvali issue in accordance with international law norms and principles, as stated in the announcement.
It's noteworthy that according to the Central Election Commission of South Ossetia, the current leader Anatoly Bibilov and Alan Gagloev have advanced to the second round of presidential elections based on the results of yesterday's voting. The second round of voting is scheduled for April 24.
