Putin and Lukashenko to Discuss Measures Against Western Sanctions
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, will meet with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, on April 12 to discuss joint measures of the two countries to counter Western sanctions. This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian leader, as conveyed by RIA Novosti.
"A meeting and negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin are scheduled for April 12. On Cosmonautics Day, the leaders of the two countries will jointly visit the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur region, where the construction of infrastructure is also planned with the participation of Belarusian specialists. The heads of state will get acquainted with the construction of the space complex and will communicate with pilot-cosmonauts and staff of the cosmodrome," the press service's statement said.
The press service emphasized that Lukashenko and Putin would discuss the full range of issues regarding Belarusian-Russian relations. After the negotiations, the leaders will meet with representatives of Belarusian and Russian media.
