Peskov Does Not Comment on Kadyrov's Statement

Russia's presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has advised contacting the Ministry of Defense for comments regarding Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov's statement about plans for Russian troops to attack Kyiv, as reported by interfax.ru.

“Traditionally, we do not discuss the course of special military operations with you. We leave this authority to the Ministry of Defense. There are press briefings held there twice a day. I suggest you get information from there,” Peskov told reporters.

Earlier, Kadyrov had announced in a Telegram video message that Russian armed forces are planning to launch an attack on cities, villages, and other settlements in Ukraine, including Kyiv. At the end of March, it became known that the Chechen leader had arrived in Mariupol and is personally overseeing a special operation to liberate the city. Kadyrov stated that the Russian armed forces will prepare an attack on all cities in Ukraine.
