Serbian President Requests Immediate Supply of Drones from Erdoğan

The President of Serbia has announced plans to purchase Bayraktar TB2 combat drones from Turkey, as reported by Avia Pro. The Serbian authorities have decided to acquire a large batch of Bayraktar TB2 strike-reconnaissance UAVs from Turkey. It is reportedly about a dozen drones, but what is noteworthy is that Belgrade is not considering the option of purchasing Russian drones. Furthermore, Serbia's president has asked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to expedite the delivery of these combat drones.

“In a conversation two days ago, I asked President Erdoğan about the 'Bayraktars' and received a promise that we would be able to buy them and deliver them to the Serbian army's arsenal,” said the Serbian president, highlighting that he requested the urgent supply of the strike-reconnaissance UAVs. The specific reasons for the urgent need for these drones remain unclear, but experts suggest that it may be related to the potential conflict in Kosovo, which has been reported earlier.

It was previously reported that Serbia is also set to acquire 12 French Rafale fighters, a fact that has also been confirmed by the Serbian leader.
