Agreements Reached Align with Baku's Interests, Says Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry

According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the agreements reached during a recent meeting in Brussels involving the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of Azerbaijan, and the President of the European Council align with Baku's interests. The Ministry describes the meeting as an important step in regional security.

As reported by Interfax-Azerbaijan, the statement emphasized that the meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, with the participation of the EU Council President, is a crucial step in ensuring the future development of the region under conditions of peace and security, and aligns with Baku's interests.

The statement added that the meeting concluded with an agreement to instruct the foreign ministers of both countries to begin work on a future peace treaty based on the initiative proposed by Azerbaijan a year ago and the fundamental principles presented by Baku some time ago.

Additionally, the sides agreed to establish a joint commission on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border by the end of April.

Baku also underscores the importance of addressing humanitarian issues and the opening of communication channels between the two countries during the trilateral meeting.
