‘No one, especially Pashinyan, has the mandate to sign anything on behalf of Artsakh’ - ‘5165 Movement’ holds protest

The '5165 Movement' held a protest today, April 6, in front of the government building. Participants were holding flags of Armenia and Artsakh, along with banners that read: ‘Recognize Artsakh’, ‘Armenia is the guarantor of Artsakh's security’, ‘Rescue for Artsakh, security for Armenia, national dignity’, ‘Today it’s Artsakh, tomorrow it’s Zangezur, the next day it will be Yerevan’.

Menoua Soghomonyan, one of the co-founders of the movement, told reporters that they are protesting in support of the international recognition of Artsakh and against the pro-Azerbaijani policies of the current Armenian authorities regarding the issue of Artsakh, in the context of a meeting taking place in Brussels today.

‘We want to send a message to Brussels that the right to self-determination for the people of Artsakh belongs to the people of Artsakh and that no one, especially Nikol Pashinyan, has the mandate to sign any document or make any statement on behalf of the people of Artsakh that would in any way pre-determine Artsakh’s incorporation into Azerbaijan. We want to awaken the people on this important issue, to rally them and unite around this agenda,’ Soghomonyan stated.
