Man Crosses Dangerous Edge of Victory Bridge and Threatens to Jump

Today, April 6, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 1:30 PM, a middle-aged man crossed the dangerous edge of the Victory Bridge and threatened to commit suicide by jumping off the bridge.

According to shamshyan.com, an operational team from the Yerevan Fire and Rescue Service arrived promptly. A rescue psychologist also responded to the scene.

Law enforcement arrived as well, and ultimately, after negotiating with the individual, he decided against taking that step and was safely brought back from the dangerous edge with the assistance of rescue workers, police, and patrol officers. He was subsequently taken to the territorial department of the police, where relevant materials regarding the incident are being prepared.
