David Babayan: 'If Russian Peacekeepers Are Not Here, Then There Will Be No Artsakh'
If Russian peacekeepers are not here, then there will be no Artsakh. This was stated by the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, David Babayan, in an interview with Azatutyun.
“We should not engage in experiments or embark on some adventures. There are people giving various assessments; some shout, placing themselves in the role of patriots. The fate of Artsakh is not a toy, especially not now. Yes, without Russian peacekeepers, there will be no Artsakh, that is unequivocal. Let no one harbor any illusions; after all, we live here, and we do not want to become the generation that lost our homeland of 15,000 years. Everyone should understand that this means we must be smart and stay away from demagogues, not allow them to determine the fate of the nation,” said Babayan.
Commenting on the recent incidents that occurred in the village of Parukh, the Foreign Minister stated: “Russian peacekeepers have seen for the first time who is who and have understood what Azerbaijan is; these events have also taken the Russian peacekeepers by surprise. One of the enemy's objectives is to undermine Russian-Armenian fraternal relations; who benefits from this? It does not benefit any Armenian. We must once again emphasize that yes, Russia is a fraternal country for us, but that does not mean we are against or hostile to the United States or France,” said David Babayan.
