Explosion at Tbilisi Gas Station Leaves 2 People in Intensive Care

Two men injured in an explosion at a gas station in Tbilisi are reported to be in critical condition, according to Armenpress. The blast occurred on Sunday evening at the gas station located in the Varketili district of Tbilisi. Witnesses stated that the fire initially broke out from a vehicle and then spread to the gas station.

Both men, who are middle-aged, sustained serious injuries. A team from the ambulance service transported them to a clinic. 'The victims have suffered injuries... They have burns of varying degrees. Currently, they are in burn shock and have been placed in the intensive care unit where they are receiving appropriate treatment,' the doctor said in an interview with Rustavi-2 TV channel.

The exact cause of the explosion will be determined by an investigation. Following the explosion, the electricity supply to nearby houses was disrupted, as reported by Sputnik.
