I Regret That Ukraine's Partners Are Misguided in the Information War: Torosyan
Arsen Torosyan, a member of the Armenia-Ukraine friendship group in the National Assembly of Armenia, expressed regret that Ukraine's partners are misled in the information war, spreading disinformation that harms the relations between the two countries.
Torosyan made this statement in an interview with Armenpress while commenting on a post from Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada's Twitter page, which referenced Azerbaijan's recent incursion into Artsakh. The post was later removed from the Verkhovna Rada's Twitter account.
He first considered it not an official statement from the Verkhovna Rada but simply a post on Twitter, although it was made on an official page. "I regret this: they spread disinformation from an unknown source claiming that Russian peacekeeping forces have been moved to Ukraine to participate in military operations, which is absolutely untrue. I am very saddened that our partners in Ukraine or those managing that Twitter page cannot determine what is truth and what is false during this information war," the MP emphasized.
Torosyan noted that he would not want to believe this is done deliberately. "They should nonetheless be careful, as this damages the relations between the two countries, which we would not want to happen, and I think they wouldn't want that either," he stated.
