“Women Are Being Raped, Children Are Being Abducted”: Zelensky Addresses Ukrainians

The Ukrainian state and people have been heroically resisting the relentless invasion of the Russian Federation for a month now. President Zelensky made this statement in a video address to Ukrainians.

“For a month now, we have been defending ourselves against attempts to destroy us and wipe us off the face of the earth. The initial plan of the Russian troops collapsed in the first days of the invasion. They thought that Ukrainians would be afraid. They thought that we, Ukrainians, would not fight. They were wrong. They do not know how freedom enriches life and gives meaning to life. Russians are looking for mercenaries all over the world, any scoundrel capable of shooting at peaceful civilians. Russian forces are destroying our cities. They indiscriminately kill civilians. Women are being raped. Children are being abducted,” Zelensky stated.

He noted that Russians are burning museums, schools, and universities have become targets for them.
