The Village is No Longer Under Our Control Since 15:00-16:00: New Details from Artsakh's Parukh Village
According to former village mayor Atyusha Mikaelyan, Azerbaijanis have entered Parukh without firing a shot, informing villagers not to show any weapons and to leave, claiming this is their territory. This occurred around 15:00-16:00.
“From that point on, the village is no longer under our control; people have fled wherever they could, and peacekeepers are currently negotiating. We have no updates yet,” he explained.
Earlier, the Artsakh information headquarters reported that peacekeepers are at their posts and negotiations are ongoing. The statement reads, “We inform you that the protection of the contact line in the direction of the Parukh and Kharamort settlements of the Askeran region and the provision of safety for the civilian population living in those communities is under the mission of the Russian peacekeeping forces stationed in the Republic of Artsakh.”
“At this time, peacekeepers are at their positions, and negotiations continue. We again urge the population to remain calm; the situation along all other segments of the contact line is currently stable,” added the Artsakh information headquarters.
