Western Meteorologists Will Not Provide Data to Russia to Avoid Chemical Attacks: Reuters

The major provider of meteorological data, EUMETSAT (European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites), is halting collaboration with Russia. This decision comes amid concerns from experts that the Russian Federation could use weather data to plan biological or chemical attacks, according to Reuters.

EUMETSAT has become the latest agency related to weather data to restrict information exchange with Russia following Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. Previously, at least three other organizations in Europe had also halted data sharing with Russia.
