Vardenyats Pass, Gndevaz-Jermuk, Alaverdi-Jiliza Roads Closed to All Vehicles

The Road Department informs that as of March 22 at 20:00, Vardenyats Pass, Gndevaz-Jermuk, Ttujur-Navur, and Alaverdi-Jiliza roads are closed to all types of vehicles.

The serpentine roads of Stepanavan are closed to vehicles with trailers, while other types of vehicles face difficulties in passage. The roads in the Goris and Noyemberyan regions are also difficult to navigate for vehicles with trailers. The Vanadzor-Dilijan road is closed to vehicles with trailers.

Snowfall is reported in the regions of Ashtarak, Aparan, Aragats, Vanadzor, Stepanavan, Tumanyan, Talin, Hrazdan, Sevan, Gavarr, Jambarak, Dilijan, Ijevan, Noyemberyan, Tavush, Yeghegnadzor, Vayk, Goris, Kapan, and Meghri.

Other interstate and national significance roads remain open. Road workers are conducting cleaning and salt-sand treatment on the roads.

To avoid accidents and traffic jams, drivers are advised to use winter tires exclusively.
