United Kingdom Donates 25,000 Doses of AstraZeneca Vaccine to Armenia
The government of the United Kingdom has donated more than 25,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to Armenia.
“We are confident that vaccination remains the only effective tool in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, to halt its spread and mitigate its consequences. Therefore, I am very pleased that the United Kingdom has extended a helping hand to our friends in Armenia as part of our government’s commitment to supporting the global effort to overcome the pandemic,” said John Gallagher, the British Ambassador to Armenia.
The first Deputy Minister of Health, Lena Nanushyan, expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in various health sectors alongside the fight against the pandemic.
The ambassador also expressed willingness to continue collaborative work with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
