Direct Talks Needed Between Russia and Ukraine at the Highest Level: Scholz

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz believes that negotiations between Ukraine and Russia should extend beyond the current dialogues taking place between them.

“We now need direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine that will surpass what we have at present. We know that the President of Ukraine wants to engage in direct talks between himself and Putin. We urgently need a ceasefire,” Scholz stated during a joint press conference with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola.
