Sweden Removes Kefir from Stores Due to Russian Association in Packaging

Swedish dairy producer Arla has halted the production of kefir that features images of the domes of the Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed in its packaging. This is reported by TASS.

“It is true that Arla has decided to temporarily stop the sale of kefir. The product is made from 100% Swedish raw materials, but the packaging is associated with Russia, which we find inappropriate under the present circumstances,” said Arla representative Carolyn Elizabeth Stark.

She added that kefir will return to store shelves later this year, but with a different design.
