Over 300 Trapped Trucks in Lars: What's the Situation on the Roads?

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads within the territory of Armenia.

The roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station in Aragatsotn province to the Amberd fortress and the Kar lake are closed.

The Berd-Jambarak road is also shut down.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed to trucks with trailers and is difficult to pass for trucks, while other types of vehicles can still navigate.

There are patches of ice in the Aragats and Aparan regions of Aragatsotn province, as well as on the Arghvani-Verein Khotanan road in Syunik province.

Snow is being reported in various regions: in the Dilijan serpentine, the Saravan-Zanger segment in Syunik province, and in Talin, Aragats, Aparan, Ashotsk, and Amasia regions of Shirak province, along with Vanadzor, Stepanavan, Hrazdan, Charentsavan, and Abovyan cities in Kotayk province.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the North Ossetia Emergency Situations Center of the Russian Federation, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed to trucks. There are approximately 350 truck vehicles on the Russian side. Drivers are advised to travel only with winter tires.
