Identity of Attempted Assassin of 'Thief-in-Law' Armen Kanevsky's Protégé Revealed

An identity has been revealed for the individual who attempted to murder 50-year-old Arshak Sargsyan, a protégé of the infamous 'Thief-in-Law' Armen Kanevsky, on March 8 in downtown Yerevan.

Sargsyan, the owner of the 'Malkhas Jazz' club, was hospitalized with gunshot wounds. According to shamshyan.com, following extensive police operations, a 44-year-old man residing in Yerevan was identified and taken into custody by law enforcement on suspicion of committing the crime.

Due to the interests of the ongoing investigation, his identity has not been disclosed. The suspect has been handed over to the investigative department of the Yerevan Investigative Committee, responsible for the Center and Norq Marash administrative districts, where he has been arrested as a suspect.
