Vova Gasparyan's Son-in-Law Arthur Gevorgyan's Property Also Under Seizure

Vova Gasparyan's Son-in-Law Arthur Gevorgyan's Property Also Under Seizure

The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reports that the property of Arthur Gevorgyan, the son-in-law of former police chief Vladimir Gasparyan, is also under seizure, just like the house of former Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan in Monumen. Gevorgyan has also turned to the court to eliminate the violation of property rights. The court has upheld Gevorgyan's claim and obliged the investigator to remove the violations of his rights.

It appears that the Anti-Corruption Committee should have acted with the same diligence for Gevorgyan's property as it did for Hovik Abrahamyan's villa, but so far, it has not done so. 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper contacted the Anti-Corruption Committee to understand why the seizure of property in the case of former MP Arthur Gevorgyan has not been lifted, despite the First Instance Court making such a decision and the Court of Appeals rejecting the prosecutor's appeal, while bias has been shown in the case concerning Hovik Abrahamyan's house.

In response, the Committee stated: 'The case is in the preliminary investigation stage, and they do not currently consider it appropriate to provide information on this matter.'
