Russia's Defense Ministry Reports On Ukrainian Provocation Involving Toxic Substances

The Russian Defense Ministry has issued a statement indicating that it has information regarding a provocation being prepared by the Security Service of Ukraine with the support of Western countries.

According to the Russian side, Ukraine was preparing to use toxic substances against the civilian population to accuse Russia of using chemical weapons.

"The units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation involved in the special military operation do not have and cannot have chemical munitions," the Russian Defense Ministry's statement reads. "Unlike the USA, Russia has long fulfilled its international obligations by completely destroying all stockpiles of chemical weapons."
