Prime Ministers of Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovenia Head to Besieged Kyiv

The Prime Ministers of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia have traveled to besieged Kyiv to meet with President Zelensky. This has been reported by Ukrainian news outlets.

Recall that on the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation to 'demilitarize' Ukraine. In a televised address, he stated that the circumstances 'require decisive and immediate actions from us, as the People's Republics of Donbas have appealed to Russia for help.'

According to the Russian leader, all responsibility for the violence will rest on the conscience of the regime currently governing Ukraine. He called on Ukrainian military personnel to ignore the criminal orders of Ukrainian authorities, lay down their arms, and go home.

In response, the West has imposed new anti-Russian sanctions. Among them are several major banks, including Sberbank and VTB. The European Union, the USA, Canada, and several other countries have closed their skies to Russian aircraft. The ability of several state-owned enterprises to attract foreign capital has also been complicated. Sanctions have been placed on the supply of high-tech goods to Russia.
