Lars is Closed: Approximately 380 Freight and 97 Passenger Vehicles Accumulated on the Russian Side

According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Management Department and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations' North Ossetia Crisis Management Center, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed to all types of vehicles due to the risk of avalanches. On the Russian side, there are approximately 380 freight and 97 passenger vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
