There should be no threat to Russia from Ukrainian territory. This was stated today by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, according to RIA Novosti.

After a meeting with his Qatari counterpart, the Russian minister emphasized that Moscow appreciates Qatar's interest in reaching a settlement with Ukraine and in agreeing on key issues.

“Based on the interest in achieving pan-European security, including the security of Ukraine and Russia, we must ensure that there is no threat to Russia from Ukrainian territory,” Lavrov noted.
