Today's Start Was Dark: Zelensky
“Today is the 18th day of our life-and-death struggle for Ukraine’s independence, and the start of today was dark as Russian missiles and bombs have once again struck our state,” said the President of Ukraine in his video address.
Zelensky, addressing Western leaders, added: “If you do not close our skies, it is only a matter of time before Russian missiles appear in your territory, in NATO territory, on the homes of NATO citizens.”
The President of Ukraine spoke about ongoing negotiations with Russia, noting that representatives from Ukraine and the Russian Federation communicate every day via video format. “Ukrainians, we are going through the most horrific test in our history, in our lives. We are defending the most precious thing we have. We must resist. We must fight. And we will win. I know this. Believe it,” Zelensky emphasized.
