Video: Donetsk Troops Liberate Volnovakha City, Says Russian Defense Ministry
Donetsk armed forces have liberated the city of Volnovakha. This was announced on Friday by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov, as reported by TASS news agency.
According to Konashenkov, "a group of troops from the Donetsk People's Republic has liberated the city of Volnovakha, and control has also been established over the settlements of Olginka, Veliko-Anadolu, and Zeleni Gay, with an advance of up to 6 kilometers."
He stated that the police units of Donetsk have continued to tighten the blockade in Mariupol. The total advance from the eastern, northern, and western directions has amounted to up to 800 meters. "Russian Armed Forces units, continuing their offensive operations, have moved forward by 17 kilometers," Konashenkov added.
