Roskomnadzor Talks About Instagram Blocking Timelines

Roskomnadzor has announced that the blocking of Instagram will begin on the night of March 14. According to a statement from the agency shared on Telegram, users will have time to transfer their photos and videos to other social networks.

“Since active Instagram users will need time to transfer their photo and video materials to other social networks and inform their contacts and subscribers, Roskomnadzor has decided to complete the procedure for implementing access restrictions to Instagram by 00:00 on March 14, providing an additional 48-hour transitional period,” the statement reads.

It was previously reported that Roskomnadzor would restrict access to Instagram after its owner allowed calls for violence against Russians to be published in a number of countries.
