From April 1, No Zero Certificate Required for Vehicle Sales and Scrapping
No documentation regarding obligations (zero certificate) will be required from citizens during the sale or scrapping of vehicles. This information was provided by the Yerevan City Hall.
During yesterday's meeting, the Armenian government decided to amend the government decision No. 1251-N, which means that starting April 1 of this year, citizens will no longer need to provide a document regarding their obligations (zero certificate) in the process of buying or scrapping a vehicle.
The data will be transmitted electronically to the Police of the Republic of Armenia through a unified database of vehicle tax. With the implementation of this system, citizens will also have the opportunity to settle their existing obligations on-site when registering rights, which will facilitate the process of rights registration (accounting) for the vehicle.
This initiative has been realized through the joint efforts of the Yerevan City Hall, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, and the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
