Former Husband Pursues Wife: Details on the Explosion in Zovuni

The Investigative Committee of Armenia is conducting measures to clarify the circumstances surrounding the explosion that occurred in the village of Zovuni, under a criminal case initiated under Article 104, Part 2, Clause 6, and Article 235, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. This was reported by the RA Investigative Committee.

According to preliminary data, on March 11, 2022, around 10:30 AM, a citizen reported that his mother had left the house and then called him to inform that her former husband was pursuing her.

On the same day, at around 10:40 AM, a report was received from the “Nairi Medical Center” LLC stating that there were the bodies of a deceased woman and man on 40th Street in Zovuni village. Immediate investigative actions have been carried out, including an examination of the scene where the bodies of the woman and man were found with injuries caused by the explosion.

Forensic, toxicological, and trace evidence examinations have been appointed. A preliminary investigation is underway.
