Erdogan and Aliyev Discuss Issues Related to Armenia-Azerbaijan Relations

During Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Turkey, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Aliyev discussed the events taking place in Ukraine, issues related to Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, as well as matters concerning bilateral relations.

According to a report by Armenpress, Interfax reported that during the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on the prospects for the resolution of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

They spoke about the importance of opening the so-called "Zangezur corridor" and its related prospects, as well as the construction of the Kars-Nakhchivan railway.

The meeting also touched upon Armenia-Turkey interactions. It was noted that the construction of the Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline is planned, with investments allocated for this purpose in Azerbaijan's state budget.

Throughout the conversation, the two leaders discussed the further expansion of trade and economic relations. It was noted during the meeting that cooperation in the fields of military, military-technical cooperation, as well as military training and education, is successfully continuing.

Simultaneously, the parties exchanged opinions on the ongoing events in Ukraine.
