Taxi Drivers Report Issues with Yandex Not Transferring Their Funds: What is the Reason?
For several days now, we have been facing issues with the cashless payment system of the Yandex taxi service, as the funds have not been reaching us. A driver from Yandex taxi mentioned this in an interview with Auroranews.
“We call Idram, and they say it’s not within their scope. We call Yandex, and it turns out they are not resolving the issue either. So who will resolve it? It seems that the driver has to work, accept cashless payments, and not receive the funds owed to them? Is this normal?” the concerned driver stated.
According to him, affected drivers are organizing a protest today at 16:00 in front of the main office of Yandex taxi service.
Auroranews also tried to clarify the details with the director of Yandex taxi, Avetis Gasparyan, to understand why the issue hasn’t been resolved until now.
“We had a software issue; in addition, there was also a non-working day on March 8, when the banks were closed. This is what caused the delay in the transfers. I assure you that the issue has been resolved for an hour now, and the transfers are being conducted,” Gasparyan noted.
When asked if all drivers would receive their funds today, the service director responded, “It’s a systemic issue, and transfers have already been in progress for an hour; they will be completed in order.”
