Current Road Conditions in Armenia as of 16:10: Snow Falling

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of 16:10, several roads in Armenia are closed due to snowfall. The roads leading from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Kary Lake are closed in the Aragatsotn region. The Vardenyats Pass is closed to all types of vehicles.

In the Syunik region, snow is falling in the area known as "Meghru Sar", as well as on the Gorayk-Zanger stretch, Kajaran, Goris, in the Lori region's Stepanavan, in Vayots Dzor region's Jermuk, in Kotayk region's Hrazdan, and in Shirak region's Ashotk and the Aragatsotn region's Aparan districts.

There are patches of ice on the roads in the Shirak region's Amasia district, on the Gyumri-Bavra, and Alyagiaz-Artik roads, as well as on the Sisian-Zanger road in the Syunik region.

According to information received from the Georgian National Emergency Management Service and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations' North Ossetia crisis management center, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is closed for cargo vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
