Canada to Send Additional $50 Million in Aid to Ukraine

Canada will send an additional $50 million in defense assistance to Ukraine, announced Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on March 9.

“This morning I spoke with President Zelensky. Soon we will be sending highly specialized equipment,” said the Canadian Prime Minister.

According to Trudeau, discussions included both sanctions against Russia and humanitarian support for Ukraine.

The equipment supplied by Canada will include cameras and drones. The delivery of aid will continue whenever possible, concluded Trudeau.
