Araik Harutyunyan's 'Revelations': 'Hraparak'

The newspaper 'Hraparak' writes: 'In a meeting with a group of Armenian intellectuals, the President of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, presented his analysis regarding the reasons for the 2020 war and the ensuing defeat. He emphasized that we had already lost before September 27 due to having been defeated in the demographic 'war': 'If we had a population of 250-300 thousand, we definitely wouldn’t have lost.'

He noted the significant lag in the modernization of our armaments compared to the rest of the world. On October 3, he realized that we were losing and sounded the alarm, but no one listened to him.

The attendees also posed questions about how he had conducted himself during the war and what roles individuals played in managing the war effort. The President of Artsakh mentioned two names, expressing admiration for these individuals, stating that he had made a ‘revelation’ about them during those days.

One of them is Seyran Ohanyan, who was by his side every day: 'Like a small child, he did everything I asked of him.' When they had not received news from Ohanyan, who was in Shushi, for several days, they feared he had been captured or killed, and he even shed tears.

The second individual Araik Harutyunyan 'revealed' was Argishti Karamyan, who also astonished him with his patriotism and dedication. Regarding the topic associated with Karamyan, concerning the transfer of money out of Shushi using an armored vehicle, Harutyunyan stated that the issue was entirely fabricated because the banks in Shushi had already withdrawn the funds days prior.'
