Zelensky Discusses Possibility of Negotiating Crimea Issue with Russia
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that the authorities in Kyiv may discuss and seek compromises on how people living in Crimea and the Donbass republics will coexist. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
In this context, the leader of the country responded to the readiness to recognize these territories. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, had previously announced that Moscow could 'pause' the military special operation in Ukraine for 'a moment' if Kyiv meets the stipulated conditions: the recognition of Crimea as Russian territory, acknowledgment of sovereignty, as well as the establishment of the non-bloc status of Ukraine.
