The Ministry of Defense Issues a Statement

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia has responded to the ongoing misinformation propagated by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan regarding alleged gunfire from the Armenian Armed Forces towards Azerbaijani combat positions along the border.

Specifically, on March 8, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense released a statement claiming that Armenian forces had opened fire in the western section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border that morning. This information is also untrue.

Following a provocation by the Azerbaijani side on March 7, the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border has remained relatively stable and is under the full control of the Armenian Armed Forces, according to the RA Ministry of Defense.
