Shooting in Central Yerevan: The Wounded is the Owner of the Notorious 'Malkhas Jazz' Club
Yesterday, on March 7, shots were fired in Yerevan. Around 2:10 AM, the police's central division received a call from the Astghik Medical Center, reporting that a citizen had been admitted with gunshot wounds to various parts of the body.
According to shamshyan.com, doctors informed the police that the injured man was unable to provide any explanation about the incident, as he was undergoing surgery. While doctors were fighting for his life, police determined that the victim was 50-year-old Arsen Sargsyan, a resident of Yerevan.
Police, taking necessary operational investigative measures, found that the incident occurred in the yard of building 31 on Moscow Street. It was discovered that an unknown person had fired several shots at A. Sargsyan with an unidentified firearm and then fled the scene.
Blood-like traces and two spent cartridges were found at the scene. According to the website's information, the victim is a well-known figure in the criminal world and a prominent protégé of the 'thief in law' Armen Kanевsky, as well as the owner of the well-known 'Malkhas Jazz' club and the 'Smoking' restaurant complex. He is characterized as a positive person with no past criminal connections, having provided numerous aids to socially vulnerable families, and he never wished for this to be publicized, always adhering to the principle: 'If you can do good, support the socially vulnerable and do not make a big deal out of it.'
