Russia Sets World Record for Number of Sanctions
A total of 5,500 sanctions have been imposed against Russia, as reported by the sanctions monitoring service Castellum.AI.
Russia has become the country with the highest number of sanctions imposed over the past few years, with an additional 2,778 restrictive measures added since February 22.
Currently, the leaders in the number of sanctions are Russia with 5,500, followed by Iran with 3,600, Syria with 2,600, North Korea with 2,100, and Venezuela with 700.
The majority of the new sanctions against Russia are personal restrictions (2,400), along with 343 limitations imposed on organizations.
Furthermore, it is known who has imposed the most sanctions against Russia since February 22: Switzerland with 568 (totaling 824), the European Union with 518 (766), France with 512 (760), Canada with 454 (908), Australia with 413 (633), and the USA with 243 (1,200).
