Estee Lauder, OBI and Other Companies Announce Suspension of Activities in Russia

The OBI chain of construction and household goods stores has ceased operations in Russia. According to the professional publication Baumarkt Manager, the company has 27 stores in Russia, employing 4,900 staff.

Additionally, it has been reported that Estee Lauder, which specializes in the production and sale of cosmetics, is suspending all commercial activities in Russia. IBM, one of the largest producers and suppliers of hardware and software, has also announced the suspension of its operations in the country.

Moreover, Japan has banned the export of oil refining equipment to Russia, and the Australian oil company Ampol has declared the cessation of purchases of crude oil from Russia. Viva Energy has made a similar decision, with the suspension in effect until the conclusion of the special operations in Ukraine.
