Australia to Impose Sanctions Against Russian Armed Forces

The Australian government has announced new sanctions against Russia. According to Foreign Minister Marise Payne, the financial restrictions will target the Russian Armed Forces and 16 other individuals from the country, as reported by TASS.

In her statement, Payne noted that the Australian authorities are also imposing sanctions on “10 individuals whose role is of strategic importance to Russia.”

“The Australian government continues to work with digital platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google, to block content produced by Russian state media,” she said.
