Artsakh’s NSS to Investigate Causes of Gas Supply Disruption
The National Security Service (NSS) of Artsakh is investigating the causes of the gas supply disruption from Armenia to Artsakh, particularly in the Shushi region. On the night of March 8, around 01:00, a pipeline supplying gas from Armenia to Artsakh was damaged in this area, resulting in a complete disruption of gas supply across Artsakh.
The Azerbaijani side is obstructing the specialists of 'Artsakhgaz' CJSC from carrying out emergency recovery works at the site of the accident. The NSS is also taking measures to determine the causes of the disruption, including investigating possible diversionary or harmful acts by the armed forces of Azerbaijan.
Currently, NSS staff are making efforts to arrive at the scene and examine it in accordance with the procedural laws. Additional information will be provided afterward, including the actual reasons behind the gas supply disruption.
The NSS of Artsakh continues to fulfill its legal obligations and is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the personnel from the supplier organization and law enforcement agencies present at the site for emergency recovery works. Once enough information and evidence are gathered, the service will provide comprehensive information to the public regarding the circumstances of the incident.
